Maths week off the mark
MATHS WEEK is underway at the Bray Adult Learning Centre, with a range of number-related activities to get people thinking.
‘Numbers are a part of daily life. If we plan a journey, follow a recipe or manage a household budget we use numbers,' said an organiser. 'Our maths skills help us to make important decisions and to get things done every day. Unwrapping numbers at the Bray Adult Learning Centre is a week long focus on numbers in our lives.'
Kicking off the week was the launch of our new Facebook page last Monday evening. Follow the centre on Facebook at ' bray adult learning centre facebook' for more information on maths week.
Deirdre Rice from MABS will give budgeting advice on Thursday at 11.30 a.m., and on Friday winners of the maths quiz will be announced.
