Sports Partnership events for April
TWO WICKLOW Local Sports Partnership organised events take place in the month of April, one in Wicklow town and the other in Laragh.
The Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children's Sport in Ireland is for the benefit of everyone involved in children's sport, from the children and their parents and guardians to school teachers and sports leaders.
A three hour Code of Ethics and Good Practice takes place in St. Patrick's GAA Club. Wicklow town on Tuesday April 5 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m..
The workshop will highlight the main principles of the Code and look at measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment for sport for young people. Participants attending the Code of Ethics workshop must be over 18 years of age.

A second workshop on basic first aid provision takes place on Saturday April 9 at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.
This is a special interest course for those involved with sports teams. The course will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. It will cover topics such as approaches to an accident, disorders of breathing and CPR, wounds and bleeding, fractures and broken bones, spinal injuries, burns and scalds and medical emergencies. The one day Sports Injuries First Aid Course fee is €55 per participant and participants receive a certificate of attendance from Heartbeat Safety.
