FRIENDS and family of Paddy Tobin turned out for a surprise 60th birthday party that was organised by his wife Breda last weekend.

The party, which was held in Bray Fishing Club, was attended by local relatives along with his brothers and nephew who live in England.

‘We have been planning the party since February, and we were thrilled with how it went,' said Breda Tobin. Poor Paddy was shocked with the surprise and says he wasn't expecting a thing. ‘I won't tell you what he said when we all shouted “surprise”, he is still talking about it three days later,' she added.

The party was a smash, and everyone involved had a great time. ‘After we left the Fishing Club, everyone came back to the house and nobody got into bed until half five that morning, we are still recovering, but we had a great time.' Breda would like to thank everybody who came out and made it a great party.
