US university orchestra to play in Bray
KANSAS GROUP TO TOUR IRELAND
AN AMERICAN university orchestra is to perform with the Durkin Dodd Dancers in Bray's Esplanade Hotel Bray.
The Kansas State University Chamber Orchestra will appear in Bray on Sunday March 27 at 8 p.m. They will be doing the show as part of an 8-day tour of Ireland.
The concert will be a fund raiser for the Bray, Begle, Bordeaux Twin Town exchange visits.
The musicians are all students from the Kansas State University in Manhattan Kansas.
They are visiting Ireland on a concert tour which covers Galway City to Dublin. Every student has raised over $2000 to come on the tour to Ireland this year.
During their eight day visit the group of 25 musicians will give four concerts. Each performance is given in aid of a charity of fund raising project.
The orchestra travels every two years and has previously visited France, Austria and Scotland.
' We are delighted to share our music with the people of Bray and to perform with the Durkin Dodd Dancers,' said Musical Director David Litterell.
Tickets are €5 and available on the door or from Paddy on 01 2860080, or Ann on 087 9839937.
