HOLY REDEEMER PARISH

Prayer Group: This Group meets in the Side Chapel ev­ery Mon­day at 8pm.

Lec­tio Div­ina Group: The Lec­tio Div­ina meets in the Up­per Room of the Cof­fee Dock on Tues­day morn­ings from 11am to 12 Noon - all wel­come.

Silent Holy Hour: This take place in the Side Chapel each Fri­day from 11am un­til 12 Noon. Daily Mass: This is cel­e­brated at 10am (Mon­day to Satur­day and 7pm (Mon­day to Fri­day).

BrayGather­ingCharis­mat­icGroup: This group meets on Wed­nes­day night at 8pm in the Lit­tle Flower Hall - all wel­come.

Blessed Sacra­ment Ado­ra­tion: This takes place on Thurs­days af­ter the 7pm Mass un­til 8pm.

Re-Open­ing of the Church: We are pleased to in­form ev­ery­one now that the up­grad­ing of the se­cu­rity sys­tem is now com­plete, the church will be open as usual. We ask you to re­port any­thing sus­pi­cious, no mat­ter how small you think it might be - to the sacristan on duty or the parish of­fice or di­rectly to Bray Garda Sta­tion at 6665300.

Tro­caire Boxes: These are avail­able at the doors of the Church af­ter Mass. Please take one if you have not al­ready re­ceived one through the schools.

Vol­un­teer Col­lecorrs Needed: The lo­cal con­fer­ence of St. Vin­cent de Paul So­ci­ety are look­ing for col­lec­tors for the 9am Mass on the first Sun­day of the month. If any­one is avail­able and will­ing to do this, please call the con­fer­ence mo­bile on 0879724668 or speak to a mem­ber of the con­fer­ence.

Ikanga Col­lec­tion: This week­end mem­bers of the Parish Twin­ning Team will be col­lect­ing the en­velopes they gave out last week­end for our twin parish Ikanga. Even though we are ex­pe­ri­enc­ing very dif­fi­cult times here at home, please re­mem­ber the chil­dren of Ikanga as they de­pend on us to pro­vide them with a chance to en­ter so­ci­ety with an ed­u­ca­tion which is, af­ter all, a ba­sis right of ev­ery child.

Youth Cen­tre Din­ner Dance: A din­ner dance in aid of the Youth Cen­tre will take place on Fri­day April 1st in the Es­planade Ho­tel, Bray, with wine re­cep­tion at 7.30pm fol­lowed by din­ner and en­ter­tain­ment. Women's Mini Marathon: Run or walk for W. H (Wick­low Home­less) Five Loaves. Dur­ing 2010 W.H Five Loaves served 11,480 two-course din­ners, 6,800 hot break­fasts, 1560 take­aways & pro­vided ac­com­mo­da­tion for five men in their tran­si­tional hous­ing pro­ject. If you are in­ter­ested in tak­ing part in this year's Flora Women's Mini-Marathon on Mon­day 6th June, they would be de­lighted to hear from you. CUALANN SO­CI­ETY

Mem­bers of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety - the lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety for Bray and North Wick­low - are re­minded that due to Easter the April meet­ing will take place a week ear­lier than usual at the new date of Thurs­day April 14th in the Bray Cham­ber of Com­mence House, 10 Prince of Wales Tce., Quins­boro Road, Bray, The sub­ject of the April lec­ture will be an­nounced shortly.

GALA CON­CERT

SELF-EM­PLOY­MENT

If you are think­ing about self-em­ploy­ment, this free 12-week course (one morn­ing per week) could be just right for you. The course will in­tro­duce par­tic­i­pants to the con­cept of self-em­ploy­ment and build their con­fi­dence. It will also help them to iden­tify their skills and in­ter­ests and how they could be used to be­come self-em­ployed.

Par­tic­i­pants will ex­plore the el­e­ments they will need to set up and run busi­nesses and learn how to iden­tify busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties. Fur­ther in­for­ma­tion from Bernard or Eithne at Bray Com­mu­nity En­ter­prise at 01-2050111.

TALK ON WRITERS/ARTISTS

Bray has a rich her­itage of writers and artists liv­ing in Bray. The re­cently pub­lished jour­nal of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety has an ar­ti­cles about Cyril Cu­sack, an es­tab­lished writer but is best re­mem­bered for his film, tv, and stage roles and to­wards the end of his life as ' Un­cle Peter ' in the RTE se­ries ' Glen­roe'. Artist Lil­ian Lucy David­son was born in Bray in 1879 and at­tended the Olympics in 1928.

Brian White has com­piled a list of over 200 writers and artists that were born, lived or died in Bray since 1850. A se­lec­tion of these have been re­searched and the fruits of this re­search will form a short illustrated talk by Brian White in Bray Li­brary on Tues­day 29th March start­ing at 7pm and all are wel­come to at­tend - ad­mis­sion free. This year also marks the cen­te­nary of Bray Pub­lic Li­brary.

WOMEN’S REFUGE

Bray Women's Refuge in­vites you to an Aware­ness Rais­ing Seminar on ad­dic­tions and co-de­pen­dency on Thurs­day 14th April in the Ra­mada Ho­tel.
