ST. ANNE'S PARISH
Times of Masses: Mass is celebrated in St. Anne's Church at 10am and 7.30pm Monday to Friday. Weekend Mass times are Saturday 6.30pm Vigil Mass and on Sunday at 8am, (9am in St. Patrick's Church in St. Columcille's Hospital), 10.30am (Family Mass), 12 Noon, and 6pm. Confessions are heard on Saturdays after the 10am Mass, between 12.30pm and 1pm and after the 6.30pm Mass.
Congratulations: Congratulations to the children from St. Anne's and Rathmichael schools who were confirmed last Saturday week by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin. The candidates from Scoil Mhuire will be confirmed this Saturday at 11am.
CatholicApostolate: Next Monday night there will be a meeting of the Catholic Apostolate at 8pm in the St. Anne's Resource Centre.
St. Vincent de Paul Society: The Shankill Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society extend their thanks to all those who contributed to last week's monthly church door collection.
Justice & Peace Group: Its hoped to form a Justice and Peace Group between the parishes of St. Anne's, Rathmichael and St. James' Crinken. Anyone interested is asked to contact the St. Anne's Parish Office.
Something for Lent: Come and join the Prayer Group on Wednesday nights at 8pm in St. Anne's Resource Centre and learn to pray the powerful abundance Prayer and listen to the Lord and his speaks through his word.
Baptisms: Baptisms take place in St. Anne's Church at 12.45pm on the 1st Sunday of the Month and at 5pm on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturdays of the Month. A month's notice is required. Please contact the St. Anne's Parish Office located in St. Anne's Resource Centre to make your arrangements.
Please note that when visiting the Parish Office to arrange a baptism, the child's birth certificate should be brought as it necessary to photocopy it for the parish records but it will be returned immediately.

St. Anne's Resource Centre Hours: St. Anne's Resource Centre is open 9am to 8.30pm Monday to Thursday and on Friday from 9am to 3pm. Those requiring Baptism / Confirmation certificates or application forms for Baptism can obtain them during the above hours. Please note that the Parish Office is the only place where certificates and application forms can be processed.
Parish Pastoral Council: The next meeting of the PPC will take place at 8pm on Monday April 4th. The PCC welcomes and invites and suggestions and comments which can be forwarded to it via the Parish Office in St. Anne's Resource Centre.
Hospital Visits: Due to new Data Protection laws, the priests of St. Anne's Parish can no longer request to see the patients lists at St. Columcille's Hospital. So you are going into this hospital or any other one and would like one of the priests to visit, please let one of the priests know directly or leave a message in the Parish Office.
Run Retreat Weekend: Last year the Run Retreat weekend was held in Shankill and those taking part thought that it was 'deadly'. This year it is moving south and will be held in Newtownmountkennedy National School, Co. Wicklow.
Run Retreat weekends are residential and are held for 12 to 15 years olds and include Mass, games and activities, talks, music and fun. The wekend runs from March 25th to March 27th . Further information from Stephenie at 085-715 1116 or see www.run31.com or email:run email@example.com.
Mass from St. Anne's: Mass is now broadcast on-line and can be viewed by logging onto the parish website www.stannesparishshankill.com and then clicking onto video link. Volunteers are needed to operate the cameras during Mass so that viewers get a variety of pictures. Lourdes Pilgrimage: This year's parish pilgrimage to Lourdes will depart from Shankill on August 22nd for 6 nights. Full details will be available shortly.
District Church Weekend Masses: Weekend Masses are celebrated in the Church of the Apostles, Ballybrack, on Saturday at 6.30pm and on Sunday at 11.30am; in the Church of SS Alphonsus and Columba, Ballybrack, on Sunday at 10am and 12 Noon; in Stephen's Church, Killiney, on Saturday at 6pm; in the Church of St. Columbanus on Saturday at 6pm and on Sunday at 11am; in St. Michael's Church, Dun Laoghaire on Saturday at 6pm and on Sunday at 8.30am, 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 4pm.
District Church Baptism Times: SS Alphonsus & Columba Church, Ballybrack - First Sunday of each month at 1pm. Church of the Apostles, Ballybrack - Third Sunday of each month at 12.30pm. Loughlinstown - Second Saturday of each month at 3pm and the Fourth Sunday of each month at 12 Noon.
Car Parking: Parishioners and visitors are kindly asked not to park in front of the Church or the side exits but only to use the designated spaces provided.
Help Needed: The Parish would welcome the involvement of more adult volunteers in many areas such as hospitality, collecting at Mass, Readers etc. If you would like to take part in parish life, please leave your name and contact details with the Parish Office or speak to one of the priests.
ChildProtectionsPolicyintheParish: St. Anne's Parish is fully compliant with the Diocesan Policy on Child Protection with the Parish Child Protection Statement displayed prominently in the Church porches, Sacristy, St. Anne's Resource Centre and schools. This is reviewed at every meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council to ensure that the parish in full compliance with the Dublin Diocesan guidelines.

Church Services: Services of Worship for this Sunday - The Third Sunday of Lent - are 8.30am Holy Communion, 11am Morning Prayer followed afterwards by coffee in the Erck Hall, and 7pm Holy Communion - Lector Paul Cathcart.
Easter Vestry: The Easter Vestry will take place on Sunday April 10th following the 11am Service.

Alpha/In-Between Club: The book for review and discussion at the Tuesday March 29th meeting will be ' The Housekeeper and the Professor ' by Yoko Ogawa and for the April meeting ' Strangers ' by Antia Brookner.
Confirmation2011: A Confirmation service will take place in Christ Church, Bray, on Sunday June 12th at 11am. Notice will be sent out to all candidates with dates for Confirmation classes in the near future.
Mothers&ToddlersGroup: Wednesday meetings take place at 10.30am but those who would like to join the Group are first asked to contact Debbie at 087-647 1817, Marie at 087-905 2018, or Sandra at 087-633 2133 beforehand as places are limited at present.
The April monthly meeting of the Rathmichael Historical Society - the local history society covering Shankill & District - takes place on Wednesday April 6th when visiting the Rathmichael Historical Society will be John Gillis, Senior Manuscript Conservator, Trinity College Library and National Library, who will speak on ' The Fadden More Psalter ' which will cover the discovery and recovery of an Early Medieval Irish manuscript and some and some remarkable finds along the way.
This lecture takes place at 8pm in Rathmichael School, Stonebridge Road, Shankill and will be the Society's final indoor meeting until the August week long Summer School series of evening lectures, details of which will be announced one all the details have been finalised.
SHANKILL GUILD ICA
Meetings of the Shankill Guild ICA takes place at 8pm on the 2nd Monday of each month in the Shankill Old Folks Association Day Centre, Lower Road, Shankill. The Guild's Activity Night takes place at 8 p.m. on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Shankill Old FolksAssociation Day Centre. The Craft Morning takes place each Wednesday from 10.30am to 1pm in St. Anne's Resource Centre. New members welcome - contact Ms. Betty Murray at 2820069.
PANIC ATTACK SUPPORT
There is a confidential support group in Shankill available to anyone who suffers from anxiety disorder or panic attacks. If you or some someone close to you is affected in this way, contact Kathy on 085-7386 736 to obtain further information /details.
The Shankill Active Retirement meets on the 3rd Monday of the month, and is always interested in new members who will find that it operates a wide range of activities.

OLD FOLKS ASSOCIATION
The Shankill Old Folks Association is always glad to welcome new members to ' The Club ' which is held in the Shankill Old Folks Association Centre on Lower Road every Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm which includes tea and a raffle followed by Bingo - transport can be arranged - call 2826364. Voluntary helpers are always welcome too, either in the Day Centre, on the Meals on Wheels service or helping with the monthly First Saturday Book Sales.
The April First Saturday Book Sale which supports the Shankill Old Folks Association and Meals and Wheels, takes place on Saturday April 2nd between 10am and 1pm in the Shankill Old Folks Centre, Lower Road, and all are welcome. There is always an excellent selection of books available at bargain prices so make a point of calling in, as you never know what you might find. Donations of books welcome. A good opportunity to obtain some great reading for Easter.
