The following is the results from the Ladies Golf Competition held in Wicklow Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday March 12th and 13th.
This was an 18-Hole V-Par competition and the winner was Mary Lalor (32) 5 Up, 2nd Trish Shannon (18) 1 Down, 3rd Doreen McGettigan (22) 2 Down, 4th Fedelma Sheehy (16) 3 Down, 5th Ann Reilly (13) 3 Down. The winners of the St. Patrick’s Day Scramble, which 32 teams played in were; John Clarke (9), Darren Ronan (7), James O’Toole (12), Larry Devereux (16) with 54.6, 2nd Martin Joyce (18), Kieran Joyce (18), John Joe Smith (4), Anto Smith (11) with 54.9, 3rd Kevin O‘Mahoney (10), Paul Maguire (13), Pat Dowling (19), Darragh Costello (18) with 56 winning on the Back 9.
The results of the Monday open held on March 14th was; 1st Pat Dunne (9) with 40 points (B.9), 2nd Ger Long (11) with 40 points.
Finally the results of the Men’s competition held on Saturday and Sunday March 12th and 13th, this again was an 18-Hole VPar competition; 1st Martin Joyce (18) 11 up, 2nd Kevin Barry (10) 9 up (B.9), 3rd Alan Bain (20) 9 up, Gross: Paul Furlong (4) 1 up, 4th Brendan Jacob (11) 8 up (B.3), 5th Ray Wheatley (12) 8 up (B.6)

Ladies’ section, fourball stableford, 18 Hole, March 14, 1st: Catherine Ledwidge (14), Phil Gough (29) 39 points; 2nd: Ann Hosey (9); Martina Tancred (13), 38 points.
St Patrick’s Day Open Greensomes: Winners - Billy and Claire Byrne 72.5.
Mens Singles Stableford, March 19/20: 1st. Tom Fox 39 points; 2nd. Kevin Holden 39 points; 3rd. Dan Leigh 38 points.

Druids Glen Qualifier: From Monday, 4th April there will be an Open Mens Singles Stableford and an Open Ladies Singles Stableford every Monday and Tuesday excluding Bank Holidays and Open Week.
Each week the Winner of the Mens Competition and the Ladies Competition go forward to play in a Grand Final on September 30th.
The overall winner from both Mens and Ladies Competitions win a weekend for two in Druids Glen Golf Resort each. Cost is only €10!!
Introduce a Friend: Each Friday evening for the month of April the course and club will be open for members to introduce their friends (non-golfers or ex golfers) to the wonderful game of golf. A Scramble or Team event will be run at 6 p.m. on Friday 1st, 8th, 15th and 29th.

Ladies Lessons: Every Wednesday between 11-12 with PGA Pro Tom O’Neill.
Juvenile Easter Camp: Juveniles from the ages 5 to 12 will learn the fundamentals of the golf game in a relaxed and fun environment on Thursday 21 and Friday, 22 April from 10-1. Camp is open to beginners! Booking is essential!

Winter League Results - Twoman rumble, 1st. Ian Moran and Colm Moran 53 points; 2nd. Mark Burke and Luke Burke 52 points.
Last weekend Coollattin staged an eighteen holes versus par competition.
The event which was generously sponsored by Pete Walker of Shillelagh, produced a spate of top class scoring, with all six prizewinners returning scores of 6-up.
The winner, Rathnew man Phil Gormley won on the break of a tie. Playing off a handicap of five, Phil produced a magnificent one under par round of 71.
Runner-up was Neil Fitzgerald from Aughrim (or should I say Annacurra).
For the second week in succession the best gross was won by Robert Masterson (5) with a score of 3 down. In third place was Pat Scott (16), from the Meeting of the Waters. Pat was the unlucky one - he stood on the 18th tee on seven up, but contrived to lose the hole to fall back to six up.
The prizes for Saturday and Sunday went to Tom Shannon (20) and Pat O'Byrne (15), respectively.
Ladies’ section, Wednesday, March 16, nine-hole stableford, Cl. 1. 1st Geraldine Coleman (20) 18 points; 2nd Joan Donnelly (17) 18 points; Cl. 2. 1st Gillian Moore (32) 20 points; 2nd Aileen Shortt (30) 18 points; 3rd Viv Brereton (34) 17 points; Cl. 3 Pat Adam (36) 17 points.
Saturday, March 19: 18-hole stableford, 1st Mary O'Gara (31) 34 points; 2nd Colette Browne (20) 30 points.
Sunday, March 20: 18-hole stableford, Cl. 1. Karen Horsfall (18) 34 points; Cl. 2. Bernie Cunningham (31) 39 points.
