CUP UPSET fans will have been asking for their money back after the latest offerings from the Wicklow Cup.
Two top flight outfits were in action over the weekend against lower division sides but both Premier Division clubs did the business to advance to the next round of the Wicklow Cup.
2008 champions Shillelagh United had Division 1's Avonmore FC to deal with on Sunday and United did just about enough as they emerged 3-2 winners. Seamus Osborne was on the scoresheet for the hosts, as were brothers Paddy and Stephen Byrne.
And Richmond Rovers could be Shillelagh's opponents in the next round after the Bray side also sealed their place in the next round this week.
Newtown United B travelled to Ballywaltrim on Friday night but couldn't upset the formbook as strikes from Ben McNulty and David Hughes saw the Magpies eliminated from the competition.
