Hollywood 1-10 Tinahely 1-10

A POINT by Tony D'Arcy with just minutes to go saved the day for Tinahely in Division 1 of the SFL at Hollywood on Saturday. A strong wind blowing straight into the road goal made this a match of two halves with the home side having the advantage in the first half.

Hollywood got off to a good start with points by the Burke brothers, Thomas and Eoin, but were rocked back on their heels in the seventh minute when Colm Kenny was brought down in the box and Alan Nolan blasted the net from the penalty.

That score gave Tinahely the cushion they needed against the wind.

Hollywood pulled away in the second quarter to add some good points but their four-point lead at half-time - 0-8 to 1-1looked slim in the extreme .

While Tony D'Arcy got the first point of the second half it was Hollywood that stepped up their game.

Thomas Burke made a great run through the centre and drew the free for Garrett Bell to point.

At the three quarter stage it was 1-10 to 14 but point by point Phillip Cullen's men hauled their way back to steal an away point at the death.
