Pa­tience over wa­ter ap­plauded

THE PEO­PLE of Bray have been thanked ‘for their co­op­er­a­tion and pa­tience dur­ing the re­cent works in Bray,’ ac­cord­ing to a state­ment by the Dublin Re­gional Water­main Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Team.

New wa­ter mains are now in place in Florence Road, Bren­nan’s Pa­rade, Sea­point Road and on No­vara Av­enue which will strengthen the sup­ply for cus­tomers im­me­di­ately and in the long-term by sig­nif­i­cantly re­duc­ing leaks.

Work cur­rently un­der­way in Kil­man­tain Park is due to be com­pleted in early April and will con­clude the cur­rent pro­gramme of works to im­prove Bray’s wa­ter mains.

‘We are very grate­ful for the co-op­er­a­tion and pa­tience of res­i­dents, busi­nesses and com­muters in the ar­eas where we have un­der­taken wa­ter re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion works in Bray,’ said Cllr. David Grant Cathaoir­leach of Bray Town Coun­cil.

‘These works are nec­es­sary in or­der to save wa­ter pre­vi­ously leak­ing through cor­roded pipes and we ac­knowl­edge the as­sis­tance of the staff at Bray Town Coun­cil in plan­ning and car­ry­ing out these works,’ added. Ro­nan O’Rourke, Pro­ject Man­ager.

Wa­ter main re­place­ment works in Bray will be com­pleted in the com­ing weeks.
