Young people came along to the meeting to put forward their ideas and to discuss the rebuild of the party. Member Richard Grant laid out a set of events that they will be involved in.

‘From attending the meeting I can confirm this group is very enthusiastic and ready to reengaging the community by getting involved with a number of projects,’ said Stephen. ‘ The amount of young people present was outstanding.’

Stephen spoke about the party making a clean break with young people and how important youth were to rebuilding the party. The groups were treated to tea and sandwiches and then guest speaker, young T.D Charlie McConalogue spoke about his experience as a young T.D and how important it was for Fianna Fáil to ask themselves tough question pick themselves up and dust down and move forward.

‘ There was a lot of optimism in the air at the end of the meeting,’ concluded Stephen.
