Additional new work on the Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club premises on the Seafront has commenced. Floors in the two club rooms will be covered in high grade safety non-slip tiles. This will be a big improvement, which will facilitate easy cleaning. The club was established in 1967, and with forty-nine members there are now more on roll than at any previous time. Bray Divers have planned for the near future diving trips to Hook Head, Portroe Slate Quarry, and Saint John's Point. There are dives every weekend throughout the entire year. In the winter a dive holiday abroad will be organised. Next September the club will run training courses for new divers. Any divers who have qualifications are welcome to join the club. On Monday March 21 a meeting of concerned residents met in Saint Cronin's School, and discussed the Tescos Supermarket proposed development plans.
There were many speakers at the meeting, and the main concerns stated were traffic congestion, noise, anti social behaviour, and the height of the proposed building. Reference was made regarding the possibilities of extra employment that would arise if the proposed development was successful. Eight Town Councillors attended the meeting.

Parish Liturgy Group: Anyone interested in joining this Group can contact Fr. Larry and thus assist the Group to provide Masses that truly celebrate our faith and enrich the life of the Parish.
Booking of Masses: Mass Cards and the booking of Masses will be looked after in St. Laurence's Office in the Villa Pacis (beside the Parish Office). If you are unable to get the date you require, perhaps it may help to have the person included in the Mass on that date.
Family Individual Prayer During Lent: This is an opportunity to spend 15/20 minutes in prayer once a week as a family or individual. We will provide a Prayer Leaflet, Candle, copy of St. Luke's Gospel and a Trocaire Box. If you wish to take part, please place your name and address on the sheet at the back of the Church as a sign of your commitment.
Scripture Talks: A series of talks on ' Jesus of the Holy land ' will take place in the Parish Centre at 8pm on Mondays April 4th and 11th and Thursday April 14th , presented by Sean Goan and Fr. Kieran O'Mahony, both of whom are Scripture scholars. All welcome - admission free.
Calling Our Young People: A special retreat day for young people will be held in the Villa Pacis on Saturday April 16th starting at 10am - more details to follow. On Holy Thursday a short service of reflection on the Last Supper will take place in the Villa Pacis at 6pm while on Good Friday in the Church there will be a reflection at 8pm on the Stations of the Cross prepared by the people of Honduras. All are welcome.
Bugisi Mission Project: Sr. Anne has expressed their great excitement about a new electricity generator they have received as a gift from the people of the parish of Newtownstewart in Northern Ireland whose parish priest Fr. Stephen is a brother of Sr. Dolores who worked as a nurse in Bugisi
Festival of Hope: Bray Churches Together will hold a ' Festival of Hope ', a fun event for all families with a Celebration of Worship, on Sunday May 1st between 1pm and 4pm in Kilruddery Gardens. Volunteers are needed to help with planning, preparing, and stewarding this event and those who would like to be a volunteer and be part of the Festival are asked to contact the Parish Office. 2011 Holy Land Pilgrimage: The Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land will take place from Monday May 23rd to Tuesday May 31st 2011. The cost is €1150 per person sharing, Half Board. Prayer Cards for Confirmation Children: Cards will be left on a table in the Church. Parishioners are welcome to take a card and pray for the young person named on the chosen card. Please return the card to the table before leaving the Church.
Celebrating 21 Years of Perpetual Adoration: This Friday Fr. Godfrey will lead a Holy Hour with Benediction for Lent at 8pm consisting of Stations of the Cross, Chaplets of Divine Mercy and Rosary.
