YOUTH CLUB

Ad­di­tional new work on the Queen of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club premises on the Seafront has com­menced. Floors in the two club rooms will be cov­ered in high grade safety non-slip tiles. This will be a big im­prove­ment, which will fa­cil­i­tate easy clean­ing. The club was es­tab­lished in 1967, and with forty-nine mem­bers there are now more on roll than at any pre­vi­ous time. Any per­son who wishes to view this re­stored build­ing may ar­range to do so by tele­phon­ing 2860837.

DIV­ING CLUB

Bray Divers have planned for the near fu­ture div­ing trips to Hook Head, Portroe Slate Quarry, and Saint John's Point. There are dives ev­ery week­end through­out the en­tire year. In the win­ter a dive hol­i­day abroad will be or­gan­ised. Next Septem­ber the club will run train­ing cour­ses for new divers. Any divers who have qual­i­fi­ca­tions are wel­come to join the club. TESCO PLANS

On Mon­day March 21 a meet­ing of con­cerned res­i­dents met in Saint Cronin's School, and dis­cussed the Tescos Su­per­mar­ket pro­posed de­vel­op­ment plans.

There were many speak­ers at the meet­ing, and the main con­cerns stated were traf­fic con­ges­tion, noise, anti so­cial be­hav­iour, and the height of the pro­posed build­ing. Ref­er­ence was made re­gard­ing the pos­si­bil­i­ties of ex­tra em­ploy­ment that would arise if the pro­posed de­vel­op­ment was suc­cess­ful. Eight Town Coun­cil­lors at­tended the meet­ing.

Parish Li­turgy Group: Any­one in­ter­ested in join­ing this Group can con­tact Fr. Larry and thus as­sist the Group to pro­vide Masses that truly cel­e­brate our faith and en­rich the life of the Parish.

Book­ing of Masses: Mass Cards and the book­ing of Masses will be looked af­ter in St. Lau­rence's Of­fice in the Villa Pacis (be­side the Parish Of­fice). If you are un­able to get the date you re­quire, per­haps it may help to have the per­son in­cluded in the Mass on that date.

Fam­ily In­di­vid­ual Prayer Dur­ing Lent: This is an op­por­tu­nity to spend 15/20 min­utes in prayer once a week as a fam­ily or in­di­vid­ual. We will pro­vide a Prayer Leaflet, Can­dle, copy of St. Luke's Gospel and a Tro­caire Box. If you wish to take part, please place your name and ad­dress on the sheet at the back of the Church as a sign of your com­mit­ment.

Scrip­ture Talks: A se­ries of talks on ' Je­sus of the Holy land ' will take place in the Parish Cen­tre at 8pm on Mon­days April 4th and 11th and Thurs­day April 14th , pre­sented by Sean Goan and Fr. Kieran O'Ma­hony, both of whom are Scrip­ture schol­ars. All wel­come - ad­mis­sion free.

Call­ing Our Young Peo­ple: A spe­cial re­treat day for young peo­ple will be held in the Villa Pacis on Satur­day April 16th start­ing at 10am - more de­tails to fol­low. On Holy Thurs­day a short ser­vice of re­flec­tion on the Last Sup­per will take place in the Villa Pacis at 6pm while on Good Fri­day in the Church there will be a re­flec­tion at 8pm on the Sta­tions of the Cross pre­pared by the peo­ple of Hon­duras. All are wel­come.

Bugisi Mis­sion Pro­ject: Sr. Anne has ex­pressed their great ex­cite­ment about a new elec­tric­ity gen­er­a­tor they have re­ceived as a gift from the peo­ple of the parish of New­town­stew­art in North­ern Ire­land whose parish pri­est Fr. Stephen is a brother of Sr. Dolores who worked as a nurse in Bugisi

Fes­ti­val of Hope: Bray Churches To­gether will hold a ' Fes­ti­val of Hope ', a fun event for all fam­i­lies with a Cel­e­bra­tion of Wor­ship, on Sun­day May 1st be­tween 1pm and 4pm in Kil­rud­dery Gar­dens. Vol­un­teers are needed to help with plan­ning, pre­par­ing, and stew­ard­ing this event and those who would like to be a vol­un­teer and be part of the Fes­ti­val are asked to con­tact the Parish Of­fice. 2011 Holy Land Pil­grim­age: The Parish Pil­grim­age to the Holy Land will take place from Mon­day May 23rd to Tues­day May 31st 2011. The cost is €1150 per per­son shar­ing, Half Board. Non-re­fund­able book­ing de­posit €250 - lim­ited num­bers. Those in­ter­ested are asked to con­tact the Parish Of­fice or Fr. Larry on 01-286 2346.

Prayer Cards for Con­fir­ma­tion Chil­dren: Cards will be left on a ta­ble in the Church. Parish­ioners are wel­come to take a card and pray for the young per­son named on the cho­sen card. Please re­turn the card to the ta­ble be­fore leav­ing the Church.

Cel­e­brat­ing 21 Years of Per­pet­ual Ado­ra­tion: This Fri­day Fr. God­frey will lead a Holy Hour with Bene­dic­tion for Lent at 8pm con­sist­ing of Sta­tions of the Cross, Chap­lets of Divine Mercy and Rosary.

STROKE CLUB

Bray and East Wick­low Stroke Club meets ev­ery Mon­day morn­ing from 10am to 12 Noon in the Villa Pacis. If your have been af­fected by a stroke or are a carer and would like to come along, you will be most wel­come.

WOMEN’S REFUGE

Bray Women's Refuge in­vites you to an Aware­ness Rais­ing Seminar on ad­dic­tions and co-de­pen­dency on Thurs­day April 14th in the Ra­mada Ho­tel.
