Va­lerie McCoy and friends from Glen­dalough are or­gan­is­ing a stall at the next car boot sale in the Brock­agh Cen­tre on Sun­day 3rd April, from 11am un­til 4pm, as a fundraiser to raise much needed funds for the quake stricken ar­eas of Ja­pan, New Zealand, Haiti and Chile. Only good qual­ity/value items will be ac­cepted in or­der to raise funds.

Im­prove your pho­to­graphic skills! Ex­pe­ri­enced pho­tog­ra­phers will give hints and tips in our land­scape pho­tog­ra­phy work­shop. The work­shop will cater for both be­gin­ners and im­provers and in­clude in­door classes and field work.

There will be a free Tarot In­tro­duc­tory Night in the Brock­agh Cen­tre on Wed­nes­day 13th April from 7 to 9 p.m. Aingeal O'Grady will fa­cil­i­tate this fun and en­light­en­ing evening on the Tarot. You will have the op­por­tu­nity to ask ques­tions as well as get a taste for the cards, some mean­ings and some play. Come join us - the more the mer­rier.


The Brock­agh Kids Easter Camp takes place on Tues­day 19th April to Fri­day 22nd April from 9.15a.m. un­til 1.30 p.m. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude Freck­les McGoo Mu­si­cal Theatre, El­e­va­tion Hip Hop, Imag­i­na­tion Gym, Yoga, Arts & Crafts and Fun and Games. Is your child safe on the in­ter­net? The Na­tional Par­ents Coun­cil Pri­mary work­ing with the Na­tional Cen­tre for Tech­nol­ogy in Ed­u­ca­tion (NCTE) has de­vel­oped a seminar to take the mys­tery out of the In­ter­net for par­ents and to give them the skills to en­gage with their chil­dren's on­line lives.

This will take place on 11th April at 8p.m. in Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa, Glen­dalough. It is open to the gen­eral pub­lic and so all are wel­come.


Kiri­kee Drama are back again this year in the Brock­agh Cen­tre on Fri­day 29th and Satur­day 30th April at 8.30 p.m. The group will per­form the com­edy ‘Drink­ing Habits by Tom Smith’.


Avon­dale Par­ents As­so­ci­a­tion are hold­ing a Ta­ble Quiz in the Cor­ner House in Rath­drum at 8.00 pm on Fri­day 1 April. Please sup­port our an­nual fund rais­ing event. Pro­ceeds to Avon­dale Com­mu­nity School.


The Wick­low Ad­ven­ture Race (War) takes place on Satur­day 16th April. The event is start­ing and fin­ish­ing in up­per Glen­dalough Car park and in­cor­po­rat­ing moun­tain run­ning, kayaking and a cy­cle route via An­namoe, Lough Dan, Lough Tay, Sal­ly­gap and Glen­mac­nass. An­namoe Vintage Trac­tor, Car and Bike run is on Sun­day the 10th April start­ing at 12 noon. Ev­ery­body wel­come for a great day out.
