Running with Goal in mind

-

AFTER THE excesses of Christmas day, a large crowd turned out at Greystones Rugby Club on St Stephen's Day to walk, run or crawl the annual Goal Mile.

Rugby star Reggie Corrigan cut the ribbon to start off the mile, which was tackled by people of all ages and fitness levls.

The event is held all over the country in various locations and is one of the country's biggest and longest-running annual fundraising events, established in 1982.

Runners and walkers made their way around the course on the rugby pitch, before making a donation to the charity.

Refreshments were provided afterwards.
