ROALD DAHL'S Snow White And The Seven Jockeys pantomime was performed by pupils of St Cronan's School before they finished for their Christmas holidays.

They raised €1,380 from the concert and the raffle, and the money will be donated to St Vincent de Paul and the Five Loaves.

Mr Vance's class and Ms Healy's class put on two shows: a matinee for all the other pupils in the school and an evening show for parents, grandparents and friends.

‘ The boys have worked extremely hard over the last month getting ready for the production,' said Ms Healy. ‘ There are nearly 60 children involved in the cast, and there has been an awful lot of costumes to be made and lines to be learned! We would really like to thank all of the parents who put such time and effort into the costumes.'

Mr Vance added that there was huge support for the show. Robert Byrne from Video Plan provided a screen and projector, while Al Morris of Ballywaltrim Community Centre loaned the school a stage.

This is the sixth year in which St Cronan's has put on such a large pantomime performance along with the other class nativity plays.
