Pictorial History
VARIETY is the keynote of the fourth volume of the Old Bray's Society Pictorial History of Bray series of books which this years contains several articles in addition to a vast selection of photographs recalling various aspects of the town's past. This volume opens with a general photographic selection ‘ The Town and its Environs' followed by three articles, ‘ The Drumm Battery Railcars' by James Scannell, ‘ The Putland Family' by Liam Clare, and ‘ The Records of Louglinstown Workhouse and their Relevance to Bray' by Eva O Cathaoir, while ‘St. Cronan's Teachers' lists all the teachers who have served in this school. Other topics include Bray Red Cross, families of Bray, and more. The book is available in the Town Hall Bookshop, Florence Road.
