Domestic abuse


BRAY WOMEN'S Refuge is of­fer­ing domestic abuse work­shop train­ing to groups in schools, clubs, hos­pi­tals and other groups and or­gan­i­sa­tions.

The work­shop will teach peo­ple to un­der­stand what con­sti­tutes and abu­sive re­la­tion­ship, to iden­tify forms of abuse, and to iden­tify 'red flags' for abuse.

Par­tic­i­pants will learn to un­der­stand what pre­vents women leav­ing abu­sive re­la­tion­ships and the power and con­trol the per­pe­tra­tor ex­erts.

They will learn to un­der­stand the im­pact of domestic vi­o­lence on chil­dren and young peo­ple, and to un­der­stand the law re­lat­ing to young peo­ple liv­ing with domestic vi­o­lence.

Each work­shop de­liv­ered is cus­tomised to meet the needs of the spe­cific learn­ing group.
