Ladies celebrate Nollaig na mban

Bray People - - ABOUT GREYSTONES -

LAST SUNDAY marked the end of Christmas, and ‘Nollaig na mBan’ for many who observe the Irish tradition of ‘Women’s Christmas.’

A group of ladies got together on the evening to celebrate the occasion at the home of Greystones Mayor Kathleen Kelleher.

‘After all their hard work for Christmas, the women sat down to relax,’ explained Kathleen.

Each person brought something along to eat and drink, and the talk flowed on the night.

‘We had a great evening and the ladies very much appreciated the opportunity to meet and chat,’ said Kathleen. ‘We had lots of lovely food, good company and friendship.’
