Tributes paid to re­tir­ing sta­tion of­fi­cer Cliff

TRIB­UTE WAS paid to Cliff Evans at the Beach House in Greystones last week for his 28 years of ser­vice to Greystones Fire Ser­vice, 25 of those as sta­tion of­fi­cer.

His suc­ces­sor Ciaran Hay­den as well as Greystones Mayor Kath­leen Kelle­her pre­sented Cliff with a paint­ing of the sta­tion house at the cer­e­mony.

Cllr. Ge­orge Jones was among those to con­grat­u­late Cliff on his re­tire­ment. He said that Cliff Evans was ‘an out­stand­ing ex­am­ple of a lo­cal per­son giv­ing ser­vice to their com­mu­nity.

Cllr. Jones added that the whole ap­proach of the Greystones Fire Team was a credit to the lead­er­ship pro­vided by Cliff dur­ing his time as sta­tion of­fi­cer.
