Delgany’s Rory launches album
FORMER MEMBER OF ‘TEAM BRESSIE’
DELGANY singer Rory Quinn launched his debut album ‘ Take a Seat’ in The Horse & Hound, Delgany recently.
Singing to a packed audience, Rory took centre stage at 9 p.m. to a crowd that were more than impressed with his vocals, music and lyrics and his ability to work the audience.
23-year-old Rory recently came to prominence as a member of ‘ Team Bressie' on RTE's The Voice where he made it through to the battle stages.
He writes all his own material and is very excited at launching his album which contains 11 original songs and his very own version of that powerful ballad ‘Raglan Road'.
Rory started his career as a member of the RTE Youth Choir where he got to perform with Westlife, and for many important audiences including President Mary McAleese. He graduated from Dundalk IT with a degree in Music specialising in contemporary solo performance.
Rory sings, plays both piano and guitar and describes his sound as very pop with elements of R&B and soul.
Both the title track and name of his debut album is ‘ Take A Seat’ - and all 12 songs were heard for the first time at a very special concert in The Horse & Hound at the end of December.
CDs can be purchased from The Horse & Hound, Delgany www.horseandhound.ie, cdbaby.com and soon to be available from HMV.
Another young talent Remi Naidoo - with Tim McParland were the warm up artists prior to Rory taking centre stage.
