CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

As a celebration of Christmas 2012 and to mark the end of the school term, students and staff of our school took part in a carol service on Friday 21st December. The school choir sang many traditional favourites and were accompanied by several of our talented student musicians. Many thanks to Ms Madden and Ms Armstrong for their work in preparing for this event which is such a focal point in our school calendar.

Many thanks also to all those who attended the recent Christmas carol service in Kilcoole church. The CCA Transition year choir was joined by the choir from Kilcoole primary school, for a beautiful seasonal service, attended by many members of our schools and local community. CHRISTMAS EXAMS

Well done to our students who have completed their end of term exams. This is an important time of year for assessment and focus on study habits for our students. Many thanks to all teachers for their work on preparing students throughout the term, and to parents for their ongoing support of students and the school. ST VINCENT DE PAUL HAMPERS

Well done to the Transition Year students who coordinated this year’s St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper appeal. The student volunteers did fantastic work and lots of goods were donated. Thanks to all who donated. The hampers were handed over to St Vincent de Paul at our carol service last Friday. CCA students have had a great term of sporting achievements. The Junior Gaelic team had a great day at the recent blitz in Bray, and the First year hurlers enjoyed the Co. Wicklow First year hurling blitz. Well done to the Senior Gaelic football team who won 1-16 to 2-10 against Baltinglass in the Senior Gaelic Football championship. Congratulations also to the CCA Junior Camogie team who have had a great term of play. Well done to Mr Hughes’ under 15 soccer team who are through to the quarter finals of the Wicklow/Wexford under 15 league and will play The Dublin Oak Academy in January.
