GAA CLUB AGM

40 peo­ple at­tended the En­niskerry Gaelic Foot­ball Club An­nual Gen­eral Meet­ing on Fri­day last at their Club House in Pairc na Sil­logue. There are few changes in the Of­fi­cers for the coming year which ev­ery­one agreed will be one of great im­por­tance to all in En­niskerry both on and off the field. Teams will play in both Ladies Foot­ball and all grades will see En­niskerry in both Hurl­ing and Foot­ball for Ju­ve­niles and Boys, girls and men.Train­ing con­tin­ues and new play­ers will be very wel­come at all grades. The En­niskerry Ac­tive Re­tirees are on a short break but re­sume ac­tiv­i­ties on Wed­nes­day 6th Fe­bru­ary in the Lo­cal Com­mu­nity on the Bray Road. SOC­CER BACK

Ac­tiv­i­ties re­sume on the play­ing fields for the mem­bers of En­niskerry Y.C this coming week­end. The Club is look­ing for­ward to a good run to get them into chal­leng­ing places for their Leagues in the coming weeks. PAR 3 GOLF

The En­niskerry Par 3 Golfers are off the the Course for the next while and will re­sume at their usual sea­sonal start­ing date. WALK­ERS

The Cir­cuit of Vartry Reser­voir is the first of­fi­cial event for the ever grow­ing num­ber of peo­ple tak­ing part in the great out­door ac­tiv­ity of walking on the lovely ways of Wicklow/Dublin. Meet­ing point is in En­niskerry out­side of Wind­sors Spar op­po­site the Town Clock in En­niskerry on Satur­day at 1.30 p.m or Park­ing on the ap­proach to Round­wood Vil­lage at 1.50pm. Gar­den­ing Club AGM: The AGM takes place tonight (Wed­nes­day) at 8pm in the Parochial Hall and all mem­ber are re­quested to at­tend.

Moth­ers' Union: The next meet­ing takes place on Wed­nes­day Jan­uary 16th when Anne Marie, for­merly of the beauty sa­lon in En­niskerry, will speak about skin care and make up.

To­mor­row night ( Thurs­day) the Spring 2013 Pro­gramme of the En­niskerry His­tory So­ci­ety com­mences at 8.30pm in the Pow­er­scourt Arms Ho­tel, En­niskerry, when Brian White, Chair­per­son of the Bray Cualann So­ci­ety will present his lec­ture 'Some Dis­cov­er­ies in En­niskerry and Some Other In­ter­est­ing Sto­ries About En­niskerry'.
