U-14s con­tinue good run with vic­tory over Eden­derry

WICKLOW U14S con­tin­ued their good run in Divi­sion1 with an­other con­vinc­ing win at home against Eden­derry. The fi­nal score of 80 to nil high­lights the im­prove­ments this squad has made over the last few months and hopefully this will con­tinue dur­ing the sea­son ahead. The Wicklow for­wards started strongly urged on by scrum half Conor Bren­nan and soon cre­ated an open for Cal Con­nolly to score the first try. This was soon fol­lowed by tries from Pa­trick Nixon and Stephen Swan. The Wicklow for­wards con­tin­ued to dom­i­nate their op­po­si­tion al­low­ing the back line to show their han­dling skills which led to two Al­fie Heather tries be­fore Wojtek Sowin­ski fin­ished off the first half with a fine try on the left wing. The sec­ond half con­tin­ued in the same vein with Eden­derry hav­ing no an­swer for the Wicklow for­ward play. The try count con­tin­ued to climb with some fine solo ef­forts from Pa­trick Nixon and cap­tain Cil­lian Ballesty. Daniel Kin­ney and Luke Cor­co­ran also got in on the scor­ing act with cen­ter Al­fie Heather clos­ing out the game af­ter an­other good back move.
