Archbishop Martin to preach at Christian Unity service

Bray People - - COMMENT -

THE MOST Reverend Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop of Dublin has been invited to preach at the annual Ecumenical Service to mark the week of prayer for Christian Unity on Sunday, January 20 at 3p.m.

The service takes place at St. Saviour's Church which is one of the five Arklow churches who host the week of prayer for Christian Unity on alternate years.

The other four churches traditionally involved in hosting the event are Ss. Mary and Peter's, St. Joseph's, Templerainey, Arklow Methodist Church and Arklow Presbyterian Church.

It is believed that this will be the first time that a Catholic Archbishop of Dublin will preach in St. Saviour's Church and the invitation was extended from St. Saviour's through Arklow Parish Priest Fr. Martin Cosgrove.

The service is open to everyone and aims to make the community more aware and mindful of each other's traditions and beliefs.

Archbishop of Dublin Rev. Diarmuid Martin.
