Taragh appointed Fianna Fail representative in Greystones
KILCOOLE WOMAN Taragh Hanley has been appointed as a Fianna Fáil local area representative in the Greystones area.
The party leader Micheál Martin said that Taragh will work alongside Councillors Kathleen Kelleher and Billy Norman on local issues for the community in Kilcoole, Greystones and the surrounding areas. He added that Taragh ‘ has the talent and commitment required to deliver.'
She was raised in Greystones and lives in Kilcoole with her family of three. She works part time locally.
Taragh is a cofounder of North Wicklow Hockey Club in Greystones which she set up when she identified the need for a local hockey club for children without them having to leave the town.
She is also marketing director of Greystones Rugby Club where she plays tag rugby.
'I will work to help people have a strong voice on local issues that really affect them,' she said.
‘ There are a number of key local priorities I want to see progress on including ensuring Kilcoole has a exciting playground area for children and adults to explore and partake in outdoor activities; and to address maintenance issues residents have.'
