Taragh ap­pointed Fianna Fail rep­re­sen­ta­tive in Greystones

KIL­COOLE WOMAN Taragh Han­ley has been ap­pointed as a Fianna Fáil lo­cal area rep­re­sen­ta­tive in the Greystones area.

The party leader Micheál Martin said that Taragh will work along­side Coun­cil­lors Kath­leen Kelle­her and Billy Norman on lo­cal is­sues for the com­mu­nity in Kil­coole, Greystones and the sur­round­ing ar­eas. He added that Taragh ‘ has the tal­ent and com­mit­ment re­quired to de­liver.'

She was raised in Greystones and lives in Kil­coole with her fam­ily of three. She works part time lo­cally.

Taragh is a co­founder of North Wicklow Hockey Club in Greystones which she set up when she iden­ti­fied the need for a lo­cal hockey club for chil­dren with­out them hav­ing to leave the town.

She is also mar­ket­ing di­rec­tor of Greystones Rugby Club where she plays tag rugby.

'I will work to help peo­ple have a strong voice on lo­cal is­sues that really af­fect them,' she said.

‘ There are a num­ber of key lo­cal pri­or­i­ties I want to see progress on in­clud­ing en­sur­ing Kil­coole has a ex­cit­ing play­ground area for chil­dren and adults to ex­plore and par­take in out­door ac­tiv­i­ties; and to ad­dress main­te­nance is­sues res­i­dents have.'
