Bray People - - NEWS -

THERE WAS flooding in the Kilmacanogue area last Friday morning, after a night of inclement weather.

There was heavy snowfall in the higher areas of Kilmacanogue and towards Roundwood. The flooding was localised to the village itself and parts of the N11 southbound at Kilmac.

Wicklow County Council outdoor staff were on the scene that morning in an effort to clear the flood waters.

Cllr. Christopher Fox said that it would not be unusual to have some flooding in Kilmacanogue around the Post Office. However this was on a larger scale.

There was no electricity in the wider Kilmacanogue area from around 8 a.m. on Friday.

‘ESB networks have said that this is a significant fault,’ said Cllr. Fox, adding that there was no power in a large area stretching as far as Roundwood.
