Bray’s Eoin picks Bressie in The Voice
A FORMER Bray M-Factor contestant has made it past the ' blind' auditions of RTE's The Voice.
Eoin Dixon-Murphy appeared on the talent competition last Sunday evening.
He was in the final of M-Factor in the Martello back in 2010.
The Bray lad sang his version of the Bruno Mars hit ‘Grenade' while coaches Bressie, Sharon Corr, Kian Egan and Jamelia had their backs turned.
Bressie and Sharon both pushed their buttons within the first few bars, both stars hoping for Eoin on their respective teams.
He went for Bressie in the end, after pitches from both coaches.
Kian told Eoin that he did not turn for the singer as he was too choppy, not ‘smooth and polished' enough, and expressed surprise that the other two had turned for him.
Corr however, said that Dixon-Murphy was ‘unique' and ' refreshing,' while Bressie said that while he did not have the vocal ability of other contestants, there was a tone there ‘ that just gets you.'
'I picked Bressie because I thought I'd be more suited to a guy,' said Eoin. He now goes forward to the battle stages of the competition.
