Amer­i­cana and Roots Week­end re­turns to Bray

THE 4TH an­nual Greystones Amer­i­cana and Roots Week­end re­turns this year with all new acts from Ire­land, Europe and the US.

The event wll take place over the Augut bank hol­i­day week­end.

This fes­ti­val, or­gan­ised by lo­cal man Conor O'Don­nell has es­tab­lished it­self as the pre­mier Amer­i­cana fes­ti­val in Ire­land. The pic­turesque vil­lage of Greystones is an amaz­ing set­ting for this fam­ily fes­ti­val. Acts such as The Niall Toner Band, The Macrae Sis­ters (Port­land, Ore­gon), Spell­bound, The Big Muddy and The Baskervilles have en­ter­tained the crowds over the last few years.

Hot Press Mu­sic mag­a­zine said, ‘More than a few of us were trans­ported back to Lis­doon­va­rna days. Coun­try is safe in O'Don­nell's hands - roll on next year'.

This year will in­clude new lo­ca­tions, more places to stay and much more mu­sic. There will be work­shops for all ages in­clud­ing the wash­board mas­ter­class hosted by Wayne Waits which is al­ways full to the brim.

Au­di­ences from all over the world have come for a week­end of fan­tas­tic mu­sic.
