Americana and Roots Weekend returns to Bray
THE 4TH annual Greystones Americana and Roots Weekend returns this year with all new acts from Ireland, Europe and the US.
The event wll take place over the Augut bank holiday weekend.
This festival, organised by local man Conor O'Donnell has established itself as the premier Americana festival in Ireland. The picturesque village of Greystones is an amazing setting for this family festival. Acts such as The Niall Toner Band, The Macrae Sisters (Portland, Oregon), Spellbound, The Big Muddy and The Baskervilles have entertained the crowds over the last few years.
Hot Press Music magazine said, ‘More than a few of us were transported back to Lisdoonvarna days. Country is safe in O'Donnell's hands - roll on next year'.
This year will include new locations, more places to stay and much more music. There will be workshops for all ages including the washboard masterclass hosted by Wayne Waits which is always full to the brim.
Audiences from all over the world have come for a weekend of fantastic music.
