Drink driver is put off the road for two years

A BARN­DAR­RIG man who was caught drink driv­ing was put off the road for two years at a re­cent sit­ting of Wicklow District Court.

Der­mot Boy­lan ( 40), 11 Saint Mary’s Cres­cent, Barn­dar­rig was charged with com­mit- ting the of­fence at Kil­mur­ray North, Wicklow on June 1, 2012.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and the court heard he had a breath al­co­hol con­cen­tra­tion of 57mg of al­co­hol per 100ml of breath.

The court heard Boy­lan was co­op­er­a­tive on the day and had been re­cently been made un­em­ployed.

Judge David Kennedy fined him € 200, en­dorsed his li­cence and put him off the road for two years.
