Daire’s poster wins national award
AN AWARD-winning poster designed by an Arklow secondary school pupil is to be used as part of national campaign to create awareness about the issues facing people with disabilities.
Gael Choláiste na Mara, Seabank, Arklow, won the ‘Enabling Access Across Generations' art competition which was developed by Local Authority Access Officers in conjunctions with the National Disability Authority.
The winning poster was produced by Daire ó Conchubar, a Transition Year student at Gael Cholaiste na Mara.
Daire's poster shows an eye looking with the text ‘Attitude is the real Disability: Open Your Eyes'.
The poster will be used as part of all Local Authority information and awareness campaigns around Disability and Access.
