Bray People - - THE NOTEBOOK -

THE MAYOR of Greystones Kathleen Kelleher has expressed her sympathy to the family of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe and members of An Garda Siochana.

Det Garda Donohoe was shot dead during the robbery of a Credit Union in County Louth.

‘Garda Donohoe is much mourned and is a real loss to his family, to his community and to the force,' said Cllr. Kelleher.

‘As former Chairman of the Co. Wicklow Joint Policing Committee and member of the Greystones Joint Policing Committee, I know how hard our gardai work and how much we depend on them to keep us safe,' she said.

‘It is utterly scurrilous that anyone would try to steal money from a credit union, money that is deposited by loyal workers who are saving for their future.,' she added. ‘ To kill a member of An Garda Siochana who is protecting us is completely heinous.

Amelia Curran is coming to play the Hot Spot in Greystones.
