St. Mary’s College
Last week one of our students Mary Ann Kent, 4.2 was fortunate to secure a place on the ComputeTY course in Dublin City University (DCU). She took part in the web designing module where she learnt the techniques including coding to produce a website. All students received a certificate on the final day. She felt this course was very worthwhile and was a good introduction to computer science at Third level. (Mary Ann Kent) TY PRACTICE PORTFOLIO
As Portfolio Assesment which takes place in May plays such a large part in the TY students final assessment and TY Certification, this year it was felt the students should have a practice or Mock Portfolio Assesment to help them prepare for their interviews in May. Many thanks to all the grandparents who visited the school to interview the students. The girls really enjoyed showing them what goes on in TY as well as the great experience of presenting their portfolios. HOCKEY
