Par­ish Planned Giv­ing Col­lec­tion: A sin­cere thank you to ev­ery­one who con­trib­utes to the Par­ish Planned Giv­ing Col­lec­tion.

The col­lec­tion con­tin­ues to be the main source of fund­ing to­wards the up­keep of the church and par­ish and we in­vite any­one who may be in a po­si­tion to do so, to start or in­crease their Planned Giv­ing Con­tri­bu­tion.

Heal­ing Mass: A Heal­ing Mass will be cel­e­brated tonight (Wed­nes­day) at 8pm in the Lit­tle Flower Hall. The cel­e­brant will be Fr. Derek Doyle.

Chil­dren's Choir: The chil­dren's choir re­hearsals re­sume in Room 1 of the Par­ish Cen­tre on Sun­day Fe­bru­ary 3rd af­ter the 10.30am Mass. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come.

Many Hands Church Clean­ing Group: This groups meets each Wed­nes­day af­ter the 10am Mass. They have lost a num­ber of mem­bers due to ill­ness and ur­gently need new mem­bers. If you think you can help please con­tact Anne at 086-343 8873 or meet them af­ter Mass any Wed­nes­day.

Bray Pas­toral Area Mass for the Sick: The Bray Area Parishes ex­tend a cor­dial in­vi­ta­tion to all, es­pe­cially the ill and the el­derly, to at­tend A Mass and Anoint­ing of the Sick at 3pm on Sun­day Fe­bru­ary 24th in St. Fer­gal's Church, Bal­ly­waltrim, Bray. Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety - the lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety for Bray & North Wicklow elected as com­mit­tee for the coming year - Colm McCor­mack, Brian White, Jim Lynch, May Harte, Eva Sut­ton, Sy­bil Con­nolly, Nancy Ma­hony, and James Scan­nell, at the re­cent AGM in the Bray Cham­ber of Com­merce House, Quins­boro Road.

The pro­gramme of the So­ci­ety for Fe­bru­ary and March is - Thurs­day Fe­bru­ary 21st - ' Buses to Bray ' pre­sented by Michael Cor­co­ran, the Na­tional Trans­port Mu­seum of Ire­land, and au­thor of ' Through Streets Broad and Nar­row ', and Thurs­day March 21st - 'The Plun­kett Fam­ily ' by Honor O Brolchain. Both th­ese lec­tures take place in the Bray Cham­ber of Com­merce House at 8pm and all are wel­come to at­tend. At the AGM the So­ci­ety ob­served a minute's si­lence in hon­our of the late Tom Dodd, Shankill.

In the mean­time mem­bers of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety have been in­vited to the Wed­nes­day Fe­bru­ary 6th 8 p.m. meet­ing of the Rathmichael His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety in Rathmichael School, Stone­bridge road ( Dublin Road end), Shankill, at which Kath­leen Vil­lier­sTuthill will speak on ' A Colony of Strangers - the found­ing and early his­tory of Clif­den, Co. The Old Bray So­ci­ety is pleased to an­nounce that vol­ume 4th of its Pic­to­rial His­tory of Bray is now avail­able and that this year, in ad­di­tion to a vast se­lec­tion of pho­to­graphs re­call­ing var­i­ous as­pects of the town's past, in­cludes sev­eral ar­ti­cles deal­ing with var­i­ous as­pects of the town's past.

' The Drumm Bat­tery Rail­cars by James Scan­nell, ' The Put­land Fam­ily ' by Liam Clare, ' The Records of Louglin­stown Work­house and their Rel­e­vance to Bray ' by Ms. Eva O Cathaoir, ' St. Cro­nan's Teacher ', a photo fea­ture on Bray Red Cross, ' Some Bray Fam­i­lies ' which in­cludes im­ages and in­for­ma­tion pro­vided by Pat Egan, the Humphries / Ivory Fam­ily, The Byrne/James and Cran­ley Fam­ily of Win­gates, The Henry Long­more Fam­ily, The John­son Fam­ily, The Dempsey Fam­ily, The Kane / Buck­ley Fam­i­lies, The Cal­lis / O'Neill Fam­i­lies, are some of the items in­cluded.

To­day ( Wed­nes­day) there will be a Blood Do­na­tion Clinic in op­er­a­tion in the Royal Ho­tel, Bray , from 5pm to 8.30pm. WEEKLY FUN QUIZ

On the Fri­days of Jan­uary and Fe­bru­ary, the Strand Ho­tel will host a fun quiz start­ing at 9.30pm. En­try fee is €2 per per­son and all the pro­ceeds will go to a lo­cal char­ity.

Bray Arts Club Next Mon­day night the Fe­bru­ary meet­ing of the Bray Arts Club takes place at 8pm in The Martello, Strand Road, Bray.
