2012 WAS an­other bumper year for the an­glers of the Wicklow Bay Sea Angling Club.

This years prize giv­ing was hosted by Whistlers Bar, Wicklow town with some live mu­sic pro­vided to ac­com­pany cel­e­bra­tions over the year’s achieve­ments.

The Shore league was won by Ian Daly, with Tony Carter coming in sec­ond place, while pre­vi­ous win­ner, Joe Han­lon came in third. The Boat League was won by our thriv­ing Ire­land In­ter­na­tional An­gler, Myles How­ell, with Pat Swan a close sec­ond.

The tro­phies were pre­sented by Jack Byrne, Pres­i­dent of the WBSAC and awarded by Whistlers man­ager Ciaran Meagher.

The ad­di­tional hon­our of Club­man of the Year is be­stowed by se­cret bal­lot upon the mem­ber who, in the opin­ion of mem­bers, has contributed the most to the life

and ethos of the club through­out the year. Un­re­servedly, the win­ner was Myles How­ell for his 2012 achieve­ments on the Ir­ish World Team, Home Na­tions, Pro­vin­cial Boat Angling Teams.
