2012 WAS another bumper year for the anglers of the Wicklow Bay Sea Angling Club.
This years prize giving was hosted by Whistlers Bar, Wicklow town with some live music provided to accompany celebrations over the year’s achievements.
The Shore league was won by Ian Daly, with Tony Carter coming in second place, while previous winner, Joe Hanlon came in third. The Boat League was won by our thriving Ireland International Angler, Myles Howell, with Pat Swan a close second.
The trophies were presented by Jack Byrne, President of the WBSAC and awarded by Whistlers manager Ciaran Meagher.
The additional honour of Clubman of the Year is bestowed by secret ballot upon the member who, in the opinion of members, has contributed the most to the life
and ethos of the club throughout the year. Unreservedly, the winner was Myles Howell for his 2012 achievements on the Irish World Team, Home Nations, Provincial Boat Angling Teams.
