5TH YEAR PARENT-TEACHER-STUDENT
We look forward to welcoming our parents and guardians of Fifth year students at our forthcoming parent-teacher-student and mentoring meeting, on Thursday 31st January. Each student has been assigned a teacher mentor, to help them focus on their third-level choices and academic and personal progress. The focus of the meeting on Thursday will be to establish each student’s interest areas for CAO, and to focus on how they can work to achieve the points they require through study and personal goals. The Transition Year Bank ' Scrumptious Savings' was offically launched by Deirdre Healy AIB and CCA principal Mr Eiveres, on Monday 21st January.
The team of six students consisting of Alannah Bellamy, Sinead O'Connor, Conor Eivers, Laura Flood, Katie Coleman and Cillian Molloy have done an outstanding job promoting banking and saving by staging a promotion day for all first, second and transition year students. They organised information displays, competitions, exercises and food to celebrate the launch of this year’s bank. Their theme is based around the concept of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and links in with the number 10, the anniversary of our school. The bank is now open every Thursday at lunch time for opening of accounts and ongoing savings. MOCK EXAMS
