Groups urged to apply for grants

ANY SPORTS clubs or groups in Bray are invited to make an application for a grant for equipment and training from Bray Town Council.

There is a fund of €80,000 available for small to medium sized clubs for once-off grants.

This was decided at the council budget meeting in January.

Costs which will be considered eligible for the grant include equipment, coaching education and training, and referee accreditation.

The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. on Wednesday April 23 and the maximum grant funding is €2,000 per application.

Clubs must have been in existence for over a year to apply. They will be asked to submit evidence of purchase of equipment prior to the grant being paid. To get more information or download the application form go to braytowncouncil.ie
