Fighters slug it out for ‘Pub Box 2014’

DUBLIN PUB BOX is back again to raise money for char­ity this week and this year’s cause is the Jack & Jill Foun­da­tion.

The event will be on in Dan­de­lion Bar on St. Stephen’s Green on Thurs­day night with some Bray fighters to bat­tle it out in the ring.

The Martello has spon­sored four fighters for the white col­lar box­ing event and they have been train­ing since Jan­uary at the Na­tional Sta­dium in Dublin.

The fighters are Aoife Lewis, Barry Kier­nan, Laura Car­ton and Alex Bursey.

‘We are de­lighted to be sup­port­ing this year’s Dublin Pub Box event,’ said Martello owner John Dug­gan.

‘Aoife, Laura, Alex and Barry have been train­ing 4 days week since Jan­uary.’

‘At the be­gin­ning it was very tough but now it's get­ting eas­ier be­cause we're get­ting ex­tra train­ing with Pete Tay­lor,’ said Aoife.
