Mary and Co do blooming great work on Daff’ Day

DAFFODIL DAY in Ireland has become a great success over the past few years and in Kilmacanogue, one of their very best ambassadors is our own Mary Molloy who is one of the Irish Cancer Co-ordinator’s for the North Wicklow Area.

Their main fundraising day took place last Friday and Mary would like to thank each and everyone of you for your help and support.

St. David’s School in Greystones held a cake sale which made €1,100 while Tesco and Supervalu stores in Greystones, stores in Newtown and the Post Office in Kilmacanogue hosted collections with the tally at €8,100 and rising.

Mary is indebted to the many volunteers that gave up their time for street collections, too numerous to mention but you know who you are and are all thanked very much.

Well done Mary also, your some woman to rally the troops for such a good cause.
