LADIES FOOT­BALL

En­niskerry Ladies Foot­ball team had win un­der lights in the Fi­nal of the Paddy Walsh Cup against a very good and strong Ranelagh Gaels from Dublin.The lo­cal girls lead at half-time but the op­po­si­tion made changes and blitzed En­niskerry who fought back and won out in the end by 3points. Great work has gone into the Beech Walk in En­niskerry by Vol­un­teers,with tons of crushed stones etc over the past few weeks at no cost well done to people in­volved. CAINT MOR

The long nights are on the way so this means that the En­niskerry Walk­ers are back on Tues­days. Next week they will meet at Wind­sors Spar op­po­site The Town Clock at 7.00 pm and take in the Fas­saroe and Saint Valo­ries Cross walk re­turn­ing via Ber­ry­field. SOC­CER

Kil­coole Intermediate team were hard pushed by En­niskerry Ju­niors on last Satur­day. The Black and Am­ber Lads lead well early on but in a ter­ri­ble 2 min­utes En­niskerry con­ceded a soft goal and Mossie O'Gor­man broke his an­kle min­utes we lost a player to a black card and used up our subs.

Barn­dar­rig are the vis­i­tors to Pairc na Sil­logue on Satur­day at 5.00pm. Train­ing for all teams Ju­ve­nile and Adults continues as does the Hurl­ing Coach­ing. Tick­ets are still avail­able for the County Draw. BOX­ING NEWS

En­niskerry Box­ers won 2 Le­in­ster Ti­tles well done to Michael Moore­house and Terry O'Toole, This weekend it is All-Ire­land Fi­nals and we wish the Lads well.

En­rolling for 8-12 year olds continues in the Com­mu­nity Hall on Thurs­day and Fri­day Nights be­tween 6-7 pm. There will be a big Girls group box­ing in Dun­dalk on 12th/13th April. DARTS

AOH Hall: Over an in­for­mal cup of tea in the Par­ish House re­cently, Mr. John H. Shanaghan Jnr. Re­ceived the key of the AOH Hall which had been left with the par­ish since the demise of AOH ac­tiv­i­ties in the mid­dle of the last century. Mr. Shanaghan was au­tho­rized by the Na­tional Board of Erin of the An­cient Or­der of Hiber­ni­ans to re­sume all re­spon­si­bil­ity and main­te­nance of their AOH Hall in the vil­lage. Mr, Shanaghan ex­pressed the hope of re­viv­ing some of the Or­der's ac­tiv­i­ties in the fu­tures.

Later in April Rob Good­body will be the guest speaker for 8.30pm Thurs­day April 10th meet­ing of the En­niskeery His­tory So­ci­ety in the Pow­er­scourt Arms Ho­tel at which he will present his lec­ture on ' Bal­ly­man North­ern Parts of the Pow- er­scourt Es­tate.'
