ASHFORD ICA presented a cheque to the committee of the Ashford Community & Heritage Centre at their recent AGM.

The new community centre had been selected for the ICA's annual charity drive, and a cheque of €1,375 was presented to Síle Clarke of the Ashford Development Association. These funds will now go towards renovating and refurbishing the centre to the benefit of the local community.

The donated funds were raised through a table quiz held by the Wicklow Lions Club as well as a coffee morning organised by Ashford ICA member Margaret Stephens, who was elected president on the evening.

Last month, Ashford ICA decided that their next fundraising drive will be in aid of Vasculitis, a disorder of the blood vessels that afflicts a member of the group.
