Moth­ers' Union: Last month the Bray Moth­ers' Union wel­comed Ron­nie Briggs , Mis­sion Di­rec­tor of CMS Ire­land, to speak about part­ner­ship with Churches Over­seas and in par­tic­u­lar with Ka­ji­ado Dio­cese where our Africa 2015 group will be go­ing. Ron­nie and his fam­ily spent a long time liv­ing in Kenya and gave us a vivid pic­ture of what part­ner­ships means in ac­tion and prayer.

We in Bray Moth­ers' Union have been col­lect­ing our small change for Moth­ers' Union projects. For ex­am­ple in other parts of Kenya, Moth­ers' Union mem­bers are go­ing a lot of work with wid­ows, young moth­ers and girls. They work with and sup­port vul­ner­a­ble women who have re­sorted to pros­ti­tu­tion in or­der to sup­port their chil­dren.

They work hard to raise vi­tal HIV/AIDS aware­ness and also work closely with fam­i­lies to en­cour­age sta­ble fam­ily life. Mem­bers also visit those in prison and in or­phan­ages to pro­vide emo­tional and phys­i­cal sup­port. The April meet­ing takes place at 8pm on Mon­day night in the Par­ish Life Cen­tre.

The SSAFA Sale: To­mor­row (Thurs­day) this Sale will take place from 10.30am to 1pm in The Grain­store, Kil­rud­dery House, Bray, by kind per­mis­sion of Lord and Lady Ardee. En­trance fee per adult €6 - chil­dren and car park­ing free. Free tea and cof­fee in The Grain­store. The Sun­shine Fund Collection this weekend - Palm Sun­day: The Sun­shine Fund of the So­ci­ety of St. Vin­cent de Paul is hold­ing its an­nual collection out­side the Church and all Dublin Churches this weekend.

In view of the Sun­shine Fund Collection this weekend , there will be no collection for the St. Clare's Con­fer­ence of St. Vin­cent de Paul for the month of April. Thank you for your sup­port.

Thank You: The or­gan­is­ers of the collection in aid of Our Lady's Chil­dren's Hospi­tal, Crum­lin, on 23rd/24th March would like to thank the parish­ioners of St. Fer­gal's for their sup­port & gen­eros­ity. The amount raised was €777.88.

Par­ish Trip to Bucharest: Fi­nal Meet­ing takes place on Wed­nes­day 30th April at 7.00p.m. in the Church. A rep­re­sen­ta­tive from Marathon Travel & the tour guide, who is from Bucharest, will an­swer any ques­tions you may have re­gard­ing the trip.

The anx­i­ety and panic sup­port group meet on Wed­nes­day evenings in the Bal­ly­waltrim Com­mu­nity Cen­tre at 7.30 un­til 9.30pm. Next Wed­nes­day morn­ing James Scan­nell, Vice-Chair­man & PRO of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, the lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety for Bray and North Wick­low, will present a free lec­ture in Bray Li­brary at 11.30am re­call­ing ' Easter in Bray 100 Years Ago (1914) ' and all are wel­come to at­tend.

Due to Easter the April meet­ing of the So­ci­ety pre­vi­ously sched­uled to take place on April 17th which is Holy Thurs­day, has been put back by one week to Thurs­day April 24th, at 8pm in the Bray Cham­ber of Com­merce House 10 Prince of Wales Tce, Quins­boro Road, Bray, at which James Scan­nell will present his lec­ture ' Sav­ing the Drown­ing Sailors - the MV Ker­logue Bay of Bis­cay 1943 Res­cue '. All wel­come to at­tend.

Book­ing will be taken for the So­ci­ety's an­nual one -day out­ing which this year takes place on Sun­day April 18th tak­ing in the Arigna Coal­field Min­ing Ex­pe­ri­ence and Kings House in Boyle, Co. Roscom­mon which houses the Con­naught Rangers mu­seum. Cost of coach and ad­mis­sions is €18. All wel­come - ad­mis­sion free.
