Mothers' Union: Last month the Bray Mothers' Union welcomed Ronnie Briggs , Mission Director of CMS Ireland, to speak about partnership with Churches Overseas and in particular with Kajiado Diocese where our Africa 2015 group will be going. Ronnie and his family spent a long time living in Kenya and gave us a vivid picture of what partnerships means in action and prayer.
We in Bray Mothers' Union have been collecting our small change for Mothers' Union projects. For example in other parts of Kenya, Mothers' Union members are going a lot of work with widows, young mothers and girls. They work with and support vulnerable women who have resorted to prostitution in order to support their children.
They work hard to raise vital HIV/AIDS awareness and also work closely with families to encourage stable family life. Members also visit those in prison and in orphanages to provide emotional and physical support. The April meeting takes place at 8pm on Monday night in the Parish Life Centre.
