THERE will be a great night of music in the Arklow Bay Hotel on May 1.

The concert which is being hosted by Arklow Roots Music will feature the musical talent of Beth Nielsen Chapman, one of Nashville's best known singer-songwriters.

Beth has written songs for some of the best known Nashville performers including Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond and Trisha Yearwood.

She is also a successful recording artist in her own right. Her latest album ' Uncovered' features her own recordings of songs that other artists recorded and her previous album ' The Mighty Sky' was nominated for a Grammy.

Chapman will perform in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Thursday May 1 at 8.30pm. Tickets are €25 but pairs of tickets can be bought for €40 at the hotel until April 30.
