Coláiste Bhride take the title
BOTH OF the boys first year football finals were on Monday and resulted in wins for Colaiste Bhride Carnew in the A final and St Kevin's CC Dunlavin in the B

An impressive Colaiste Bhride team had a comfortable win over Scoil Chonglais Baltinglass in the first year A final in Aughrim.
The Baltinglass school started strongly and kicked some fine early points. Colaiste Bhride soon settled and worked their way through for goals.
They led by 3-5 to 0-5 at half time and went on to win by 8-9 to 0-6. The winning margin does not reflect the fine efforts of the Scoil Chonglais side but Colaiste Bhride were the better all round team.
Scorers for the winners were Paudie McGing 3-0, Owen Darcy 2-3, Adam Hughes 2-1, James Hedderman 1-1, Liam Sheehan, Conor Breslin, Stephen Greene and team captain Jim Sharry 0-1 each. For Scoil Chonglais: Jack Fleming and James Eager scored 0-2 each, Jordan Deans and Dillon O'Toole 0-1 each. Referee was Pat Hickey, Arklow.
