A fan­tas­tic win­ning point from Stephen King gave En­niskerry Ju­niors a well earned vic­tory over Barn­dar­rig on Satur­day last. The team lined out with play­ers hav­ing take on new roles due to some play­ers be­ing un­able to get off work a great all round dis­play. The un­der 16 team had a win against Ash­ford on Mon­day. Par­ish Fi­nan­cial Up­date: The Par­ish Fi­nance Com­mit­tee is pleased to re­port that, thanks to the great gen­eros­ity of parish­ioners who have sup­ported the par­ish through do­na­tions and fund rais­ing events, the par­ish's fi­nances are sig­nif­i­cantly im­proved since last year's re­port. A de­tailed let­ter and fi­nan­cial state­ment from the com­mit­tee is avail­able at the back of the church and you are en­cour­aged to take one home with you.

En­niskerry Heart­savers would like to say a ‘heart' felt thank you all those in the com­mu­nity who's do­na­tions al­lowed us to pur­chase 3 A.E.D.

One has been placed in the Pow­er­scourt Arms Ho­tel, an­other has been placed at Curtlestown Na­tional School and the 3rd one in lo­cated at Kee­gan's farm near the Wa­ter­fall.

The next chal­lenge is to pur-chase heated boxes to house the A.E.D.'s to en­sure they work all year round. If you would like to help us with this next pur­chase please con­tact Pat Carey on 086-2564468. Also there are on­go­ing train­ing ses­sions on C.P.R. and the use of A.E.D.'s. There was a very large at­ten­dance at last Thurs­day night's April meet­ing of the En­niskerry His­tory So­ci­ety takes place in the Pow­er­scourt Arms Ho­tel at 8.30pm at Rob Good­body was the guest speaker to present his lec­ture on ' Bal­ly­man North­ern Parts of the Pow­er­scourt Es­tate.'

To­day (Wed­nes­day) mem­bers of the So­ci­ety have been in­vited to a spe­cial 11.30am Easter Talk in Bray Li­brary at which James Scan­nell, Vice-Chair­man & PRO of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety will re­call ' Easter in Bray 100 Years (1914) '. All wel­come to at­tend - ad­mis­sion free.

In May James will be the guest speaker for the monthly meet­ing of the En­niskerry His­tory So­ci­ety at which he will present his lec­ture look­ing at ' En­niskerry in 1914'.

Be­fore this meet­ing James will be the guest speaker for the Thurs­day April 24th 8pm meet­ing of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety in the Bray Cham­ber of Com­merce House, 10 Prince of Wales Tce., Quins­boro Road, Bray, at which he will present his lec­ture on ' Sav­ing the Drown­ing Sailors - The MV Ker­logue De­cem­ber 1943 Bay of Bis­cay Res­cue.' All wel­come - ad­mis­sion €4.
