3,000 go to Good Friday Barn Dance
BETWEEN 3,000 and 4,000 people descended on the secret location of Glendalough House Estate on Good Friday for the seventh annual Barn Dance festival.
Reports leading up to the event had suggested that Avondale was to stage the mini-festival but Glendalough House Estate proved to the actual venue for BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer) concert, featuring a mix of indie and electro music on five stages.
Five arrests were made for public order offences and for minor possession of drugs offences and Wicklow Gardai say they were pleased with how well run the Barn Dance was, including the tight security that was in place. Plans for the event had been overseen by Wicklow Gardai and local fire officers.
