Catherine Kennedy

Bray People - - LOCAL ELECTIONS -

Dear Constituents, For the past twenty years it has been my honour to stand up for the common good. Locally I have campaigned against the Privatization of our bin service, for a Fulltime Fire Service against Austerity Budgets and for Suicide Prevention Officer for Co. Wicklow.

I continue to fight for the houses in Old Court Estate to be made safe to live in after 8 fire related deaths. I take this opportunity to call for a full Public Inquiry into the spending of almost €20 million on 240 houses .

I utterly oppose the Property (HOME) Tax and Water Charges or Privatising Irish Water. Charging us Irish for water is like asking the Spanish to pay for sunshine.

We need hundreds of new house builds every year to meet the demand for social housing. We need to cap Rents in both the social and private sectors.

Corruption is endemic in our country, despite competition laws contracts are made on nods/winks and have got to stop. The culture of corruption is destroying our country while making crime pay . It’s time for change. Your support is truly appreciated, Kindest Regards, Catherine Hannon Kennedy.
