Had drugs worth €2,420

A MAN who had drugs worth €2,420 in his pos­ses­sion was sen­tenced to nine months in prison with the fi­nal four sus­pended for two years.

Chad Ryan (23) of 12 Wolfe Tone Square North ap­peared at Bray District Court last Thurs­day where he en­tered a plea of guilty.

Garda Glenn Quinn said that he stopped a car on the N11 at the Fas­saroe fly­over on Au­gust 4.

Garda Quinn said that Ryan was one of the oc­cu­pants of the car. There as a search and Ryan was found in pos­ses­sion of 197 tablets and 5.4 grams of MDMA, and one tablet of al­pra­zo­lam. The to­tal value of the drugs was €2,420.

The 23-year-old ad­mit­ted own­er­ship. He re­ceived a sen­tence of nine months with the fi­nal four months sus­pended for two years.
