New bus shelter for Greystones welcomed
DUBLIN Bus has committed to providing a new bus shelter for Greystones on the corner of Mill Road and New Road. With the winter weather set to get worse, the development will come as welcome news to local commuters.
The erection of the bus shelter followed a recent meeting between Cllr Jennifer Whitmore, Paddy Doherty CEO of Dublin Bus and Operations Manager of Dublin Bus Donal Keating, along with local TD Stephen Donnelly at which the issue was raised.
‘I am very happy to see Dub- lin Bus working to improve the lives of commuters of Wicklow,’ said Deputy Donnelly. ‘A number of residents contacted me about this issue and at our recent meeting we asked Dublin Bus to construct the shelter. I’m delighted that they’ve agreed to make it happen.’
The new shelter is planned for 2015 and Dublin Bus has also announced that the 84n route will now also serve Charlesland.
‘I will continue to engage with Dublin Bus to improve the service they offer commuters in Wicklow,’ said Deputy Donnelly.
