New bus shel­ter for Grey­stones wel­comed

DUBLIN Bus has com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing a new bus shel­ter for Grey­stones on the cor­ner of Mill Road and New Road. With the win­ter weather set to get worse, the de­vel­op­ment will come as wel­come news to lo­cal com­muters.

The erec­tion of the bus shel­ter fol­lowed a re­cent meet­ing be­tween Cllr Jen­nifer Whit­more, Paddy Do­herty CEO of Dublin Bus and Op­er­a­tions Man­ager of Dublin Bus Donal Keat­ing, along with lo­cal TD Stephen Don­nelly at which the is­sue was raised.

‘I am very happy to see Dub- lin Bus work­ing to im­prove the lives of com­muters of Wick­low,’ said Deputy Don­nelly. ‘A num­ber of res­i­dents con­tacted me about this is­sue and at our re­cent meet­ing we asked Dublin Bus to con­struct the shel­ter. I’m de­lighted that they’ve agreed to make it hap­pen.’

The new shel­ter is planned for 2015 and Dublin Bus has also an­nounced that the 84n route will now also serve Charlesland.

‘I will con­tinue to en­gage with Dublin Bus to im­prove the ser­vice they of­fer com­muters in Wick­low,’ said Deputy Don­nelly.
