One-act plays writ­ten by lo­cal au­thors a smash hit in Del­gany

THERE was lo­cal drama by lo­cal au­thors per­formed in Del­gany re­cently.

The very suc­cess­ful Del­gany Dra­matic So­ci­ety per­formed three new ex­cit­ing one-act plays for its au­tumn pre­sen­ta­tion.

The plays were on in the Old School­house in Del­gany for a three night run.

There was a great turnout at the lo­cal pro­duc­tion.

The plays were newly writ­ten and be­ing per­formed for the first time.

Ev­ery one-act play was penned by a lo­cal au­thor.

‘Pass­ing Time’ was writ­ten and di­rected by Del­gany man Peter Rob­bie.

‘ The First Book of Eric’ was writ­ten by Keith Hen­ni­gan from Bray and di­rected by Ann Hen­ni­gan. ‘Re­dun­dant Ire­land’ was writ­ten and di­rected by Deirdre Leeson from Round­wood.

The thriv­ing so­ci­ety has a rich his­tory in the vil­lage and has been one of the loyal devo­tees of the an­nual Bray One Act Drama Fes­ti­val.
