Our Christ­mas Gift Fair this year at the Brock­agh Cen­tre will be held on Satur­day and Sun­day 6th/7th De­cem­ber. Santa will be mak­ing his usual trip to the Cen­tre and will be here from 1 to 3 p.m both days ar­riv­ing at 1 p.m. on Satur­day by horse and car­riage.

There will be lots of hand-made and unique Christ­mas gifts for you to choose from (some cost­ing as lit­tle as €5). You will find home bak­ing, jams and chut­neys, Christ­mas pud­dings, jew­ellery, hand-knits, can­dles, Christ­mas wreaths, glass and pot­tery, plants and much, much more.

This year’s event will take place on Sun­day 7th De­cem­ber at 5.30 p.m on the Green in front of Lyn­hams. We en­cour­age ev­ery­one to dress up or even wear their Christ­mas jumpers.


Our Christ­mas Lunch will take place on Tues­day 16th De­cem­ber at 12.45pm in the Glen­dalough Ho­tel (this will also be our monthly lunch). All wel­come but please let us know if you are join­ing us.


Rath­drum Can­cer Support are host­ing a Christ­mas craft fair on Satur­day 13th De­cem­ber in the mar­ket square in Rath­drum. (If the weather is bad it will be in­doors) form 11a.m.–3 p.m.–Stalls ?10.00 each with all pro­ceeds go­ing to Rath­drum Can­cer Support. Rath­drum can­cer support will be there on the day with re­fresh­ments and sell­ing our Christ­mas cards and our Rath­drum Can­cer Support home­made Christ­mas can­dles! The Cit­i­zen’s In­for­ma­tion Cen­tre at the Brock­agh Cen­tre is open on 1st and 3rd Tues­day of the month. The next dates are Tues­day 2nd and 16th De­cem­ber from 10am un­til 12 noon for in­for­ma­tion re­lat­ing to your rights and en­ti­tle­ments. The next date in Jan­uary is Tues­day 6 Jan­uary. No ap­point­ment nec­es­sary. This is a free and con­fi­den­tial ser­vice.


There is hand­ball train­ing for 5-8 year old boys and girls on Wed­nes­day evenings from 6.307.15p.m. in the An­namoe Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. For more in­for­ma­tion drop in on the evening or con­tact Oliver Donelon on 087 9040535. Train­ing for adults con­tin­ues on Thurs­day nights at 8 p.m..
